Golden Grove Estate

Originally a fruit orchard growing grapes and stone fruit in 1946, it has grown into an award-winning winery at Golden Grove Estate. While initially processing leftover grapes into table wine to service the Italian immigrant community, the Costanzo family now produce classic Shiraz, Chardonnay andMourvèdrealong with alternatives. Golden Grove offers a taste of Europe with its Strange Bird varieties – from the Sicilian classic Nero d’Avola to Italian favouriteVermentino.

Girraween Estate

The vineyard is set high on the Great Dividing Range at an altitude of 810 metres, where humidity is relatively low and the growing season cool and long. Girraween Estate was one of the early plantings in Queensland’s Granite Belt wine region. Shiraz grapes were added in 1977 and Chardonnay planted in 1981. The table grapes were grafted over to Sauvignon Blanc in 1986 – well before the emergence ofSauvignon Blancfrom New Zealand!

Tobin Wines

Their winemaking philosophy is undeniably ‘old world’ — all respect is paid to the vineyard, the vine, and the pursuit of perfection in grape quality, with little — if any — reverence paid to the winemaker or winemaking process. Each grape variety is given the spotlight to truely reveal its own unique flavour.

Pyramids Road

Pyramid Road runs throughGirraween National Park, a great excuse for a few wines after a beautiful hike.
